Tribes of Midgard has been scratching the Diablo itch for me some lately. There is a mechanic that encourages you to swap between characters for consecutive runs, which might not be your cup of tea if you like to take one character and focus on advancing them. The story that progresses between runs is pretty good and the characters are great. ![]() Instead of playing through a campaign you do repeated runs. A quick check of Steam is showing me I can install it on my Mac, even though the game's website doesn't mention the platform.Ĭhildren of Morta is a bit more of a Rogue-Lite than a Diablo clone, but it's well worth a look. If I was in the mood to play at my PC rather than kick back on the couch then I would be playing now. I would have come back for the most recent season/league, but the controller support wasn't quite tight enough. This is another one where I played the campaign through and enjoyed it. The skill systems are arcane and tough to parse, but they offer some nice depth once you get into it. They sell some storage, but mostly they make money off the cosmetics. Path of Exile is great, especially considering the actual game itself is free. T3 just doesn't have a Mac version, and T2 was apparently never updated for Catalina. It doesn't look like the games work on Mac though. Torchlight 2 was also well worth a campaign play through. I haven't been back to it to see how the endgame works. ![]() I played through Torchlight 3 on Xbox Game Pass and enjoyed it.
